Tapas with friends – Modality Systems

by John Filippis, Strategic Engagement Manager, Quorum

Thursday nights always hold a sense of promise and opportunity for me, in an odd way they are a sneaky way of getting yourself another “Friday Night” feeling. I am always looking for that Thursday night “Friday hit” before it officially rolls in and this week I was privileged enough to share my thursday night with the great people at Modality Systems.

Modality Systems are one of Quorum’s key partners and they specialise in delivering best in class enterprise voice solutions with Microsoft Skype for Business. They have recently been recognised for their amazing work in this field by taking out the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) Award for Communications. When it comes to enterprise voice, literally no one does it better than Modality Systems, period.

The scene for our subterranean event was non other than the Subsolo Spanish Restaurant and Bar on King St in Sydney. I have fallen victim to their wonderful tapas on a few occasions in the past and each time it has made me want to come back for more.

As we arrived and descended the stairs, the dimly lit corners with their scarlet coloured furnishings brought on images of flamenco dancers as we were enthusiastically greeted by our eloquent Spanish hosts. All of whom thrust a colourful palette of Catalonian delights under my nose from which to choose my tapas induced gastronomic downfall.

This is a great way to start proceedings…I thought!

Our host Justin Morris the Modality Systems Country Manager, greeted us and introduced us to the other attendees at the event. We mingled and spoke to everyone as we moved around the room which contained an upbeat atmosphere in light of the announcement that day of the Modality Systems Microsoft WPC award win. Some of our good friends from the Microsoft Australia team were there to keep us company along with a diverse strand of Modality’s customers and partners.

It was a great night and we look forward to the new financial year working alongside our friends at Modality Systems.

As I said, Thursday nights are always a great way to start that “Friday feeling” especially with a group of great friends and good food! Ole!

A big congratulations goes out to all the team at Modality Systems for their WPC Award win for Communications!
